Aidan the Aspie Critic: Brave

Hi, guys!

I just saw a new movie! It's called, Brave. It is this year's PIXAR film. The movie was about a young princess in Celtic Scotland that loves archery. But her mother, the Queen, wants her to be the perfect princess. Being a princess is no fun! The princess wants to be a Tomboy! Even worse, 1 person from every clan is chosen as a suitor. The suitor who wins the tournament gets to marry the princess! As you probably already guessed, the princess doesn't want to get married! So, she runs away. On the way, she meets a witch. The princess told her about her mom and how she wants her to get married. The witch gives her a magic cake that she said would make her mother change her mind about the marriage. Little did the princess know, the cake turned her mom into a BEAR! So, the princess goes on a quest to change her mother back into a human. But, an evil demon bear named Mordu is on the loose! Can the princess save her mother and defeat Mordu? Watch the movie to find out!

I LOVED this movie! Another triumph by PIXAR! It even made my mom cry at the end! BOO-HOO! My mom wasn't so sure about the movie when the Queen turned into a bear. She thought it would be like the Disney movie Brother Bear. (Which TOTALLY SUCKED by the way.) But it turned out pretty okay! I'd give it 9 out of 10 stars! It was great! Can't wait for next year's PIXAR movie, Monsters University! (It is a prequel to Monsters Inc.)

A Real Slacker

I'm sorry, guys! I have really been slacking on my blog! Can you forgive me?

Alright. it is summer now so I have been very busy doing things. I had my birthday last friday, I am 11 now! I will post pictures of my presents later. I designed some papercrafts too! I'll post those later. I also re-re-discovered this cool show on CBC called Magi-Nation. It is an Anime show similar to Pokemon, only better and a little bit more intense. I'll do a post about that later. So, you should be pretty much up to date on what has been happenning to me. Here are some important announcements, Aidan the Aspie Comedian will be returning in September. Also, I am starting a new weekly series. It's called Aidan the Aspie Mind Boggler. Every week I will post a riddle. You can guess what the answer is in the comments. The next week, I will post the answer and a new riddle. I hope that will go on for at least a month. I promise not to slack anymore! If I do, let my skin be ripped from my body by wild dogs! I WILL NOT SLACK ANYMORE!!!

One Cool New Blog!

Hi everyone! I'd like to start off this post saying that I'm sorry for being away so long. I've really been slacking! I'm sorry to break this news to you, but, Aidan the Aspie Comedian is out of town.  I'm sure you're sad to see him go. I am too. Lets have a moment of silence for him...

Aidan the Aspie Critic: The Lorax

When I was is Grand forks on spring break, I saw the new Lorax movie. My mom was a bit worried about going to see it because she thought the movie might ruin the book. The Lorax is my mom's absolute favourite Dr. Seuss story. The Lorax book is about a WALL-E style world of trash, smog, and gunk. It's also about how the world got to be like that. The most famous line in The Lorax is when the greedy old businessman, the Once-Ler, gives a trufula tree seed to a small boy who wants to restore the world. The quote is, "Unless someone like you, cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it's not." Yes, indeed, The Lorax is a very heartwarming story. But that, my friends, is the book I'm talking about.

The movie is a WHOLE different story. (SPOILER ALERT! If you don't want to know what happens, skip to the next paragraph.) The movie was about a small boy who lives in a town called, Thneedville. A thneed is kind of like a sweater made out of the tuft of a Trufula tree. The Once-Ler cut down the whole Trufula forest to get enough tufts to make his Thneeds. The boy is in love with a girl named Audrey who is played by Taylor Swift the Country-Pop star. Audrey wants to see a real tree more than anything. So the boy is determined to get her a tree. His Granny tells him to go to see the old Once-Ler to find out how to get a tree. But the Once-Ler lives out of town and no one ever goes out of town in Thneedville. An evil corporation called O-Hare air runs the town and they sell air because the air quality in Thneedville is TERRIBLE! Anyway, O-hare air doesn't like people going out town for some strange reason. Anyway, the Once-Ler tells a big story of how the world got trashed and gives the boy a Trufula seed so that he can restore the world so the Lorax and all of his friends can come back.

It was a cute movie but it wasn't that great. It was good, but not great. I think all the musical numbers were useless and cheesy. The singing would've been better off left out. The story was not very accurate to the book. There were many environmental commentaries. Like when the salesmen marketing air say to their boss, "This new Bottled Air is going to be a hit! Put anything in plastic and people will buy it!" It gets me every time! So, overall, It was a cute movie but just cuteness alone is not enough. I would only give it about 3 stars out of 5. Spring Break Make Up Jokes

Okay, so, there is a Melon and a Cantaloupe. The Melon says to the Cantaloupe, "Let's run away and get married and have a family!" The Cantaloupe replies, "I'm sorry but I can't elope."

There was this Kindergarten class. The teacher was asking the kids what they did on the weekend. One kid says, "I went for a car car ride!" The teacher corrected him, "You went for a car ride, we don't use baby talk in school." Another kid says, "I took my doggy for a walk!" The teacher corrected her, "You took your dog for a walk, we don't use baby talk in school." Another kid says, "I read a book." The teacher asks, "Oh, what book did you read?" The kid replies, "Winnie the Crap."

The Phantom of the Opera!

I know that there are Endermen in Minecraft, but what about Enderwomen? This is what I think an Enderwoman would look like. This skin is based on a Minecraft mod (short for Modification.) that allows you to get an Ender girlfriend.
